WordPress Builds
Take a look through the links to see a website sample I’ve designed and developed. This is to show my step by step process in working on a web project built for responsiveness, and ease of use, with clean designs that fit the client’s brand and tells a clear story.
Website building starts with in-depth research to understand the client’s goals, audience, and brand identity. Then comes the wireframes and moodboards to shape the design direction. These become the design reference for mockups to make sure the website’s visual identity is coherent. Once the design is approved, the development phase begins, translating visuals into fully functional WordPress sites using builders like Elementor and Gutenberg builder.
The Process
STEP 1: BRAND RESEARCH
Before any design begins, I have to know the business, its goals, target audience, and visual identity. This step helps shape everything from tone to layout, ensuring the final website feels intentional and tailored to reflect the brand’s personality and purpose from the start. My graphic design experience comes in very handy in this part of the process.
STEP 2: WIREFRAMES AND MOCKUPS
This is where we map out the site’s structure and user flow. I create detailed mock ups that bring the layout to life with colors, font’s, imagery. This part is where we make sure everything looks and feels right before moving to development.
STEP 3: BUILD AND DEVELOPMENT
I use builders such as, but not limited to, Elementor, Gutenberg, Astra and so on. the Intractability and relevance of features is my priority in building these sites. While design trends are visually stunning, I prefer to focus on design and functionality features that can be developed in a timely fashion. Being the designer and developer makes it easier to estimate the design to development timeline.
STEP 4: REVIEW AND REVISE
This is where feedback is gathered, details are fine-tuned, all links are working, and any last tweaks are made to ensure everything works smoothly. It’s a collaborative step that guarantees the final build is ready to go live.

Why WordPress?
I use WordPress because I’ve learned to have a process that strikes a good balance between creativity and ease of use. With builders like Elementor and Gutenberg, I can design and structure simple features websites visually, while still having the flexibility to customize when needed. It’s a platform that let’s me focus on design, user experience, and functionality without getting bogged down in complex development. It’s also easy for clients to update their own content once the site is live. Overall, WordPress just makes the whole process more efficient for building and maintaining websites.
While WordPress is my go-to, I’m also experience with other platforms like WiX, Squarespace and other CMS platforms. Every project has different needs, and sometimes a different CMS is the better fit. Especially for simpler sites or when clients prefer a specific interface. At the end of the day the same working principles run the interfaces of these CMS(s). I’m always open to working with whatever tools make the most sense for the project. Whether it’s customizing Webflow’s designer, setting up a Wix site, or exploring something new, I’m comfortable adapting to different platforms and workflows. The goal is always the same: a site that’s true to the brand, works well and is easy for client’s to manage.
